Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: 10/15/2025

Our Commitment

Serrafin Master Builders is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users. We strive to make our website accessible to individuals with disabilities, including those using assistive technologies, and aim to comply with recognized standards such as WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

Status of This Website

While we are working toward improved accessibility, the current site has some limitations and does not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 (or later) at present. Below are observations based on a preliminary review of the existing site and areas under active improvement:

What Works (Strengths)

  • The site presents a clean, simple layout with clear navigation menu items (e.g. Services, About, Portfolio, Contact).

  • Images generally include alt-tags (where visible in the source) or use meaningful labels.

  • Headers and sections appear to be used in a logical hierarchical structure (e.g. “Services,” “Portfolio,” “About”) helping screen reader users navigate content.

  • The visual contrast of text and background is acceptable in many parts of the site (for example, dark text on a light background).

  • The site is responsive — it adapts to different screen widths (desktop, tablet, mobile).

Known Accessibility Limitations & Ongoing Improvements

  • Some images may have missing or non-descriptive alt text, which might impede screen reader users from understanding their content.

  • Certain interactive elements (buttons, links) may lack keyboard focus indicators, making keyboard-only navigation harder.

  • Forms or “call to action” buttons may not always have explicit ARIA labels or accessible naming for screen readers.

  • Some color contrast levels, especially in overlays, might not meet WCAG AA standards in all sections.

  • There may be sections where text resizes poorly or where content does not reflow gracefully at higher zoom levels.

  • Some links are represented by text like “Learn More” which do not always provide context when taken out of surrounding text (which may be a challenge for assistive technologies).

  • There might be occasional dynamic content (e.g. JavaScript-driven animations or carousels) that are not fully accessible (e.g. lack of pause, stop, or skip).

We are actively working to correct these issues and improve accessibility across the site.

What We Are Doing to Improve Accessibility

  • Conducting regular accessibility audits and testing with assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard only navigation, etc.).

  • Enhancing alt text for all meaningful images and decorative placeholders.

  • Improving keyboard navigation and focus styles throughout the site.

  • Ensuring all interactive elements have accessible names/labels (ARIA where necessary).

  • Fixing contrast issues to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.

  • Making sure content remains legible and navigable when zoomed or resized.

  • Reviewing and improving any dynamic or script-based content for accessibility compliance (e.g. ensuring carousels have proper controls).

  • Training our team and partners (designers, developers, content editors) in accessibility best practices.
